When we first crossed the bridge into Brigantine, we knew this island was something special. It wasn’t just another Jersey Shore town—it was a place of rest, solitude, and the ultimate escape. We immediately felt at home and soon purchased our own property on the island. A year later, we decided to take things a step further and bought a second home to use as a dedicated vacation rental. Hosting small families became a passion, and we were committed to providing our guests with a five-star experience that went above and beyond.

During this time, I connected with Nydia, the co-owner of Legacy, through social media. She encouraged me to take my love for hosting and turn it into something bigger. At the time, offering an exceptional guest experience was rare at the Jersey Shore—believe it or not, many rentals didn’t even provide sheets and towels! With Nydia’s support, we built a business helping other vacation rental owners create spaces that exceeded guest expectations. Though we no longer own that vacation rental, we often refer our prior guests to Nydia, confident that they’ll receive the same level of care.

As life evolved, we found ourselves busy, and that’s when we had the idea of creating on-demand videos. These videos are designed to help vacation rental owners learn how to stage their properties, not just for aesthetics, but for an unforgettable guest experience. From branding and photography to building a direct booking website, our goal is to help owners elevate their rentals without breaking the bank. We hope to see this level of hospitality spread across Brigantine and beyond.

For guests, here’s a bit of advice:

  • Read reviews thoroughly – Start with the negative ones, but keep in mind that some things are beyond a host's control.

  • Check cleanliness ratings – This is a key indicator of how well a property is maintained.

  • Use direct booking websites – If available, book directly with the host. This can literally save you hundreds of dollars.

  • Follow your host on social media – It’s a great way to stay updated and connect before your stay.

  • Don’t be afraid to communicate – If there’s something you need or want during your stay, reach out. Great hosts want to make your getaway special!
